Soon To Be...

...A MORNING PERSON!

I am pretty sure i get the sleep in to last minute from my father. He wakes up, (sometimes doesn't shower) and go to work. I on the other hand wake up, put my hair up, wear my sweats, brush my teeth all less than 20 minutes and hurry off to my morning class then go back to bed or get ready then depending on how tired i am. this ment i wasn't ready for the day until around 11 or 12.
So, i have decided to start this wake up early regimine. It will put me on routine, help me wake up and be alert in my classes. Starting mondays i will be waking up at 6:00 am to a very annoying alarm sound. I will have my running clothes ready to go and running shoes right next to my scriptures. I then will get dressed, brush my teeth, sit out on the couch and read my scriptures a bit then head off to either the AC (activity center that has 2 treadmills) or run outside. Hopefully i can run outside but living in a small town they don't clear the roads very well. I will try to get Jeron to go to the AC with me so i have someone to walk and talk with and someone to report to.

I then will be done around 7:00 AM. Proceed back to Castilleja (my dorm) and eat, shower and get ready for the day. My first class is at 8:30 so that gives me more than plenty time to do everything!

I am trying to be more alert in the morning and during my classes, and by getting ready and jumpstarting my energy i hope it will make me motivated and happy about everything in my life!! and by waking up early i can do more things in a day rather than skid through!

YAY MORNINGS!! (lets just hope the sun is up)

Benefits of Running in the Morning: (no worries there are benefits for all time of day!)
1. when you wake up in the morning your glycogen levels are lower which causes your body to mobilize more fat when running because of the unavailability of glycogen.
2.Eating causes the releas of insulin which interferes with the mobilization of fat. Less insulin is in the morning so then your body can burn more fat.
3. less carbohydrates floating around in the bloodstream so you can burn more fat.
4.if you eat right before a workout you have to burn off what you ate before you tap into the bodies stored fat.
5. you metabolism stays elevated for a period of time after the workout is over. At night the metabolism goes away faster just because you go to bed soon after.
Benefits of running at night ( for jen)
1. its best to exercise when your body is at its highest temperature which occurs in the later day. where as in the morning its at the lowest.
2. your strength output is 5% more. so you can do much more.
3. your endurance is greater at about 4%.
4. Less injuries occur in the evening.
Lets see how this all goes? :)
